Committed employees are the key to success.

In today’s very dynamic and often fast-moving world, it is a challenge to keep loyal and committed employees in the company permanently and for the long term. In the course of this, it is particularly important for us to offer ideal working conditions, to value our employees and to create a feel-good working environment in which everyone can use their personal strengths and develop their potential. We are therefore extremely pleased that Ralph Keller is already celebrating his 5th anniversary as an employee with us this month.

We took this happy event as an opportunity to ask Ralph a few questions about his time at Dinotronic AG:

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR JOB AT A PARTY?

Actually, it’s not my job: I get paid to live out my hobby. I enjoy working with people and helping both clients and employees to develop themselves. In the process, I take on many different roles, as is usual for an SME. As Head of Operations/HR, I get to let off steam in the areas of IT management, processes, people management and HR. This role is very varied, and I can determine a lot myself – sometimes whether I want to work in the office in Horgen, at home in the home office or remotely from hotels. Unfortunately, far too rarely at the pool or a beach! Fun Fact: I was on vacation for the first two weeks of my probationary period.

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING THAT COMES TO YOUR MIND ABOUT DINOTRONIC AS AN EMPLOYER?

Working at Dinotronic means enjoying a lot of freedom and the full trust of its employees. We are allowed to schedule many of our tasks freely and, for example, spend time with the kids (or on the bike) on a beautiful Friday afternoon to make up for work on a rainy Sunday morning. We have been pursuing this principle of “New Work” here at Dinotronic long before home offices became mandatory: our employees can determine their own work location and a large part of their working hours, in part by collaborating asynchronously via cloud technologies or by discussing matters at the coffee machine.

What have you enjoyed most about your years at Dinotronic?

For me, my work is meaningful when I can make a difference and identify with it. This is exactly what I have done in my five years at Dinotronic and have been rewarded with a lot of freedom, flexibility with regard to my work arrangements and, in particular, trust and appreciation. What I particularly like is the evolution towards agility, innovation, and managed service providers. Then there are the physical digitization workshops and, of course, the trips to visit our Vietnamese work colleagues in Ho Chi Minh City!
